When does Clearing open?

Clearing 2026 officially opens in the summer, giving you another chance to find the right university course. Whether you’ve changed your mind, missed your offer, or are applying for the first time, there are still plenty of options available to apply for the right course for you. We're ready to help you secure a place quickly and support you throughout the process.Below you'll find all the key dates for Clearing 2026 so you know what you'll need to do and when. Clearing 2026 is your chance to move forward and start your future with confidence.

Remember you can use Clearing if:

you’re applying after 30 June
you didn’t receive any offers (or none you wanted to accept)
you didn’t meet the conditions of your offers
you’ve declined your firm place using the ‘decline my place’ button in your application

University of Kent direct Clearing applications open

UCAS Clearing for 2026 opens

From 2 July, you can apply for a course via UCAS Clearing if you’re not already holding an offer from a university or college, and the course still has places, or you’ve declined your firm place using the ‘decline my place’ button in your application
