When does Clearing open?

Key dates and timelines for Clearing 2026

Our timeline below shows you the key dates for when Clearing opens and closes this year.

Remember you can use Clearing if:

  • you’re applying after 30 June
  • you didn’t receive any offers (or none you wanted to accept)
  • you didn’t meet the conditions of your offers
  • you’ve declined your firm place using the ‘decline my place’ button in your application

University of Kent direct Clearing applications open

If you haven't applied via UCAS you can apply directly to Kent. if you would like to apply through Clearing or have any questions about the process contact us at study@kent.ac.uk or telephone: +44 (0)1227 768896

UCAS Clearing for 2026 opens

From 2 July, you can apply for a course via UCAS Clearing if you’re not already holding an offer from a university or college, and the course still has places, or you’ve declined your firm place using the ‘decline my place’ button in your application
