About

Completed undergraduate studies at the Keele University, graduating in 2019 with an upper second class BSc (Hons) in Chemistry With International Year. Final year undergraduate project entitled “Synthesis of Monometallic and Bimetallic Noble Metal Nanoparticles in Water-in-Oil Microemulsions” under the supervision of Dr Martin Hollamby.

2017 – 2018 spent 3rd year of undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa, Canada and developed an initial interest in nanotechnology through mini projects working with gold and silica nanoparticles.

Also an associate member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (AMRSC).

Research interests

Currently studying a cotutelle PhD entitled “Structure and Dynamics of Hybrid Halide Perovskites for Photovoltaic Applications” supervised by Prof. Mark Green at University of Kent, UK and Prof. Olivier Lafon at Université de Lille, France. This project involves the synthesis of organic-inorganic perovskite materials and characterisation by using a combination of X-ray Diffraction, Neutron Scattering, and Solid State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance in order to investigate the dynamics of the organic cation and its relationship to the surrounding inorganic lattice. The aim of this project is to develop perovskite materials that can be used as an active layer in solar cell devices.

Currently developing skills in: material synthesis, powder X-ray diffraction, Quasi Elastic Neutron Scattering, solid state NMR and NQR.

Supervision

Supervised by Professor Mark Green.
