Tell us about your career path since graduation.

I began my career with an internship at Deloitte on their Investment Banking Training Scheme and am now working as a Treasury Analyst at JP Morgan in the Payments Division.

What does a typical work day look like for you?

There is lots of variety in my role and the work changes from day to day.

Can you share a professional highlight from your career so far?

Obtaining a position at prestigious Investment Bank.

How did your time at Kent help you achieve your current career?

My time at Kent provided me with a great deal of career support and networking opportunities. It also gave me time to socialise with like-minded people.

What advice would you give to our current/prospective students who are looking to get into the same line of work?

I would advise current students to be as proactive as possible from the start of university within your first year. Try to obtain as many spring and summer internships and other work experience opportunities as possible as its extremely difficult to break into IB with little to no experience, even at a junior level.

Do you have a favourite memory from your time at Kent?

I loved my time playing for the Kent Hockey Team and attending socials.

Is there anything you would do differently if you could repeat your time at Kent?

Academically and experience wise no – I feel I really made the most of my three years. Career-wise I would have looked to gain more work experience to make the transition to work after graduation smoother.

Are you still in touch with other Kent alumni or academics?

Yes, I’m still in touch with many other alumni.

What are your future ambitions?

I want to progress further within Investment Banking.
