- Nick Ratcliffe
Nick works for the Civil Aviation Authority, where he aims to ensure that the CAA follows its own regulatory principles when making regulations around aviation safety and security.
His career has spanned the public and private sectors. As well as working in universities, he has worked in central and devolved Government on agriculture, housing local government and environmental policy. He was previously a senior manager at the Further Education Funding Council and the Learning and Skills Council and a management consultant at KPMG LLP in their education advisory practice. He has also worked as a public affairs professional with the Russell Group of universities, where Nick led their work on teaching and widening participation in higher education.
Nick is currently a trustee and deputy chair of the board of City St George’s University Students’ Union and a trustee of Villiers Park Educational Trust – a national social mobility charity. He is also a member of the Council of the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).
Nick graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BA (Hons) in English and lives in East Kent.
