Mark Preston graduated from the then University of Kent at Canterbury (Keynes College) in 1983 with a BA (Hons) in Accountancy and Economics.
Mark then joined Barclays Bank on a graduate training scheme and after that spent much of his career with various North American banks in senior investment banking positions, latterly being Chief Executive Officer for the Products and Markets Division of Lloyds TSB and Co-Head of the Bank’s Corporate Markets. Over the last ten years he has performed various corporate workouts whilst taking on non-executive director positions in the mutual and private equity sectors.
Mark is Chair of the Lay Nominations Committee and member of the Remuneration Committee and Honorary Degrees Committee.
