Undergraduates

2015 Kent Scholarship for Academic Excellence

  • £2,000 for each year of study.
  • Applicants must have AAA at A level (or specified equivalent) and meet other criteria.
  • For our 50th Anniversary (2015), we have extended this scholarship to include those who achieve AAB at A level (or specified equivalents) where one of the subjects is either Mathematics or a Modern Foreign Language.
  • Open to applicants from any country.

2014 Kent Scholarship for Academic Excellence

  • £2,000 for each year of study.
  • Applicants must have AAA at A level (or specified equivalent) and meet other criteria.
  • Open to applicants from any country.

2014 Kent National Scholarship Programme (NSP) for full-time students

The University has now reviewed and revised the Kent financial package following the government announcement on 28 November 2013, of a funding cut to the NSP. Please see our updated support package.

Study Abroad Scholarships

  • £2,000 (pro-rata) during a year abroad (on courses with an approved year abroad).
  • Applicants must obtain a minimum of AAB (from 3 A levels) or equivalent and meet other criteria.
  • Open to full-time applicants from UK and EU.

Sir David Akers Jones Hong Kong and China Fund

  • £1,000 towards a Year Abroad in Hong Kong or mainland China.
  • Applicants must be enrolled on a full-time degree with a Year Abroad in Hong Kong or mainland China, and meet other criteria.
  • Open to full-time applicants from any country.

Sports Scholarships (Kent Sports website)

  • Financial support of between £250 - £5,000 pa, plus other benefits including free sports membership.
  • Applicants must be competitors of any sport at (at least) county level or equivalent and meet other criteria.
  • Open to applicants from any country.

Music Performance Scholarship (Music at Kent website)

  • Up to £5,000 pa which includes provision for  instrumental/ vocal tuition (up to £500 pa).
  • Applicants must meet a range of specified criteria.
  • Open to all new students from any country.

Partner Scholarship

  • £1,000 pa for each year of study (subject to satisfactory academic progress).
  • Applicants must attend one of the University's partner schools or colleges and meet other criteria.
  • Open to UK and EU applicants.

Student Ambassador Stipend

  • £1,000 pa for each year of study (subject to satisfactory academic progress).
  • Applicants must attend one of the University's partner schools or colleges or KMPF Schools.
  • Applicants must have an interest in becoming involved in outreach work during their undergraduate programme.

Gurkha Scholarship

  • Covers tuition fees for a programme of study.
  • Applicants must be (or be dependents of) serving or former members of Gurkha brigades located in Kent, and meet other criteria.
  • Open to full-time applicants from any country.

Article 26 Award

  • Covers tuition fees for a programme of undergraduate study.
  • The award is aimed at helping those seeking asylum in the UK to progress to higher education.

Jennison Scholarships

  • £1000 towards selected School of Engineering and Digital Arts programmes.
  • Open to Home/EU fee-paying applicants with at least AAB at A level (or equivalent).

Enterprise Rent-a-Car Scholarship for Kent Business School (Medway) students

  • £700 towards study cost for one year (at Kent Business School, Medway Campus).
  • Applicants must be stage 1 undergraduates at Kent Business School, Medway, and meet other criteria.
  • Open to full-time applicants from any country.
