This studentship is funded jointly by the School of History and the School of English.  All successful applicants for a taught MA with MEMS are eligible.
This studentship is available to UK, EU and overseas students and will cover tuition fees at the home rate (£4,950) and a small maintenance bursary.  The studentship is worth £6,000 in total for one year only.

2) Friends of MEMS Studentship

We are thrilled to announce a new studentship sponsored by the Friends of MEMS, which will be offered for the first time in the 2013/14 academic year.
This studentship is available to UK, EU and overseas students and will cover tuition fees at the home rate (£4,950). The recipient of this studentship will be asked to give a short talk about their dissertation project to the MEMS Friends at the Friends’ Summer Party in 2014.

Faculty PhD Top-Up Scheme

In addition to the minimum level of School support for PhD students (£500 over 3 years for full time students, pro-rata for part time / MPhil students), the Faculty of Humanities has also introduced a top-up fund to support exceptional requests for support above that level. This might be for one-off activities such as specialised training, the presentation of papers at overseas conferences, or visits to overseas archives. Applications should be made using the relevant form, which contains within it instructions on the process of decision-making. To download the form please click here.

TEEME

TEEME is an international doctoral programme in early modern studies funded by the European Union. It is structured around a unique collaboration between university-based researchers in the Humanities and the cultural and creative sector in four EU countries (United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal, Czech Republic). The partnership will foster intercultural dialogue and disseminate the best research in history, literature and culture to the wider community.
