The University of Kent, Canterbury, Kent, CT2 7NZ, T +44 (0)1227 764000
The University of Kent is the closest university to the continent and our Year Abroad option exists for our Biochemistry and Biology programmes. It was first introduced in 1990 to allow our students to experience studying and living in a new culture both in Europe and further afield.
To study at a University where the teaching is not in English, you will need to be able to read, write and speak the language at a satisfactory level. Our School of European Culture and Languages can provide further language training during the first two years of your study here and we are happy to provide advice on whether your language ability is sufficient for a particular country. We also have opportunities to study abroad where the teaching is in English and have exchange programmes with Universities in Malaysia and Thailand.
