Write Your CV - INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP

In this session, an Adviser will guide you through how to draft each of the recommended CV sections so that you leave with a baseline version that can then be tailored for future roles.

Your CV is often the very first impression an employer will get of you – so you’ll want it to have a positive impact! In this session, an Adviser will guide you through how to draft each of the recommended CV sections so that you leave with a baseline version that can then be tailored for future roles. (Note that this session is aimed at students who are creating a new CV; if you have an existing CV, you might want to explore our Moodle resources or book a Quick Advice appointment for feedback.)

In this workshop you will:- Draft your ‘core’ CV sections – Contact Information, Education, Work Experience, Skills.- Identify the additional sections you might include and plan what you might write – Profile, Professional Development, Technical Skills, Hobbies and Interests etc.- Explore how to tailor your baseline CV to a specific role using the job description/person specification.  Please note that there will not be time in this session to do individual CV reviews with an Adviser. For a review of your CV, please book a Quick Advice appointment.
