Print friendly

Remove unwanted elements such as text and images when printing web pages

Functionality

PrintFriendly cleans and formats web pages so you save paper and ink when you print. The software improves the readability of printed material by removing visual distractions such as ads, navigation and web page junk and increasing font sizes up to 130%. Paste a URL to the Print Friendly website to generate an edited version of a webpage or install as a browser plugin on to use directly on any webpage. View a preview of the print view of the page and make edits to meet your requirements before printing. Alternatively, save the edited output to PDF instead of printing.

Tips for using this tool at Kent

  • The University’s Green Impact scheme encourages staff and students to reduce the amount of printed material
  • Please only print when required
  • Documents edited with Print Friendly can be saved as PDFs for viewing on a device rather than generating a physical print out
