Professor Martin Ridout

Martin first joined the University of Kent in 2000. Prior to that he worked as a statistical consultant in agricultural and horticultural research. He has broad interests in applied statistics, stochastic modelling and statistical computing. His current work is mainly in the areas of  statistical ecology and applications in bioscience.

Current research interests are in the analysis of discrete data, including applications in ecology. Current projects include the analysis of matching data and numerical approximations to intractable distributions.
