About

Before joining the university in September 2017, I completed an AHRC-funded PhD on affect and contemporary tourism in Cuba at the University of Manchester. I have taught at the University of Manchester and Lancaster University as well as in Mexico and Argentina.

My research interests relate to contemporary processes of staging and consuming culture and identity in and of Latin America, particularly in the contexts of tourism and nation branding. I am especially interested in Cuba, Mexico, and visual and digital culture.
