This scholarship has been generously awarded to support one KMMS student with their tuition fees for 4 years, after which the NHS Bursary becomes available to cover the remaining fees.

Criteria

All candidates must:

  • Have accepted an unconditional or firmly accepted a conditional offer from the Kent and Medway Medical School 
  • Demonstrate academic excellence achieved at either school or University 
  • Outline how they have contributed to their community and/or society at large through their activities up to the present time and how they see themselves contributing to society as a medical doctor in the future.

This scholarship is open to Kent & Medway Medical School (KMMS) applicants only. The Kingsman scholarship has been donated to provide tuition fee support for one medical student over four years starting in September 2026. The scholarship is intended to recognise and support an outstanding KMMS applicant who has demonstrated exceptional academic excellence in their prior studies and potential to excel in medical training.

How to apply

Applications for this scholarship should be made via your applicant portal.

You will only be able to submit an application for this scholarship via your portal once you have accepted an unconditional or firmly accepted a conditional offer from the Kent and Medway Medical School.

Apply by submitting the following documents  before the deadline: 

  • A 500 word statement titled ‘Why I am a suitable candidate for ’The Kingsman Scholarship'
  • Full official School and/or University Undergraduate transcripts detailing academic career to date (predicted grades or incomplete qualifications cannot be accepted)
  • Full certificates of any public examination results and/or university results if applicable
  • Certificates and details of any academic prizes
  • Any other academic achievements

All documents must be in either Microsoft Word or PDF format. Documents that are not sent in this format will not be reviewed. Please do NOT send documents via Google Docs or SharePoint.
