The School of Psychology at the University of Kent is looking to award up to three PhD GTA scholarships to highly motivated students. Awardees of such hold a unique position in the University; they are both registered PhD students in receipt of a scholarship and employees of the University.
Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs) receive a stipend that combines a salary element and a maintenance grant, which combined will be to the value of £20,780 (the rate for 2025/26 is £20,780), paid in monthly instalments. Additionally, GTAs are provided with fee-paid teacher training through the Associate Fellowship Scheme, further enhancing candidates’ professional development.
The deadline for applications is 28 February 2026, shortlisting and applicants notified for interview by 9 March, interviews 16 -20 March.
