Partner schools

The University has established formal relationships with over 45 non-selective secondary schools in Kent.

Our work with schools

The University has close relationships with a group of  partner schools (with whom we have formal partnership agreements) and members of the Kent and Medway Progression Federation (KMPF). KMPF is a partnership between schools, local authorities (Kent and Medway) and partner higher education institutions (currently University of Kent, Canterbury Christ Church University, University of the Creative Arts and University of Greenwich).  The University is the lead institution for the Kent and Medway Collaborative Outreach Programme (KaMCOP) which is part of the national Uni Connect programme, funded through the Office for Students.

Our partnerships are at the heart of the University’s work with schools. Working closely with target secondary schools, we aim to give their students a better understanding of the benefits of higher education and to support their attainment and progression through engagement with our curriculum.

The University’s outreach curriculum is a sustained and progressive programme of events and activities which are designed for specific year groups from year 7 to year 13. We aim to support learners throughout their secondary school careers so that they are able to make informed choices about post 16 education and university study. We also support teachers and parents.
