These latest achievements follow Kent’s rise to 16th in the Guardian University Guide 2016 and the recent announcement that it has been shortlisted for University of The Year in the Times Higher Education Awards 2015 (winners announced 26 November).
Kent is also among the best universities in the world according to the recently published QS World Rankings 2015-16.
The University’s ‘outstanding results’ in the Research Excellence Framework 2014, where it ranked 17th out of all UK Higher Education Institutions for research intensity, contributed significantly to its highest ever position in the Times and Sunday Times Guide.
The University’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Dame Julia Goodfellow said: ‘Once again, this is excellent news for Kent. Within the past twelve months we have confirmed our position and international reputation as one of the best research and teaching institutions in the UK. I congratulate all our staff on this latest outstanding achievement.’
The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide will be published on 20 September.
