The Accommodation Office has won an Honourable Mention for Outstanding University Housing Office at The Class Conference 2018, which took place in Milan, Italy on 14 November.
The awards were hosted by The Class of 2020, a European non-profit think tank that looks at the future of living, working and learning, and how the knowledge ecosystem of cities, universities and the real estate industry can cooperate to make student living efficient, international and welcoming.
Each year at its annual conference the organisation hosts its Best in Class Awards to celebrate the companies, institutions and individuals going that extra mile to achieve these aims.
Kent was praised by the Director of The Class of 2020, Jorick Beijer, for the ‘unprecedented wealth of services’ that are provided to students, especially during induction.
In particular he noted the sophisticated online booking environment, including the virtual tours the University offers, as an example of why it won the Outstanding University Housing Office award at the conference.
Commenting on the achievement Derek Goss, Student Accommodation Manager at Kent, said: ‘I am thrilled that our tremendous team have been recognised by their European colleagues with this award. Everybody who has contributed in different ways to housing our students so successfully should feel extremely proud of this achievement.’

The accolade is another notable success for the Accommodation Office after winning the award for Student Accommodation Team of the Year (Universities) at the Property Week Student Accommodation Conference in December last year.
