Dr Anthony Manning shortlisted for International Education award

Gary Hughes

Dr Anthony Manning, Dean for Internationalisation, has been shortlisted for his 'Outstanding Contribution to the Industry' in the PIEoneer Awards 2018.

With a distinguished judging panel representing geographical and professional diversity, these Awards seek to recognise both individuals and organisations who are pushing professional standards, evolving their engagement or redefining the international student experience.

For the Outstanding Contribution category the judges are looking for nominated individuals who have helped evolve or shape the international education sector. Their influence in the field and how the international education industry has developed must be clearly evidenced.

Dr Manning is one of three finalists in this category and the only UK individual to have been shortlisted. His fellow nominees are:

  • Dr Mary Dwyer, IES Abroad, USA
  • Herman de Leeuw, Groningen Declaration Network, Netherlands

The PIE (Professionals in International Education) is an independent media, recruitment and events company offering a market-leading portfolio of services for professionals working in international education around the world.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on 7 September.
