On Saturday afternoon Kent Students’ Union presents Culture Fest on The Templeman Lawn featuring performances from students and societies, live music, pop up food stalls, a bar, free festival makeovers by Fenwick and much more – the perfect way to end your year at Kent with friends and family before heading home for holidays. Featuring:
- Unleash Your Talent Collective featuring D3, a.k.a David Okotie, blending explosive wordplay with entrepreneurial hustle.
- Singer songwriter and winner of last year’s Cultural Showcase, Marcellus Almazar.
- Circus Society, whose skills will have us crying with laughter and gasping in amazement.
- Tayo Fanifosi, stage 3 Architecture student and Big Band vocalist, reworking modern pop tunes into jazz standards.
- Kent Gospel Choir, winners of the University Gospel Choir of the Year for 2023 and 2025.
- The Kent DJ society, soundtracking our afternoon with summer vibes to see in the solstice.
- Simply the Zest, innovative and off-the-wall theatre company bring us high drama ‘A Fruitless Existence’ involving citrus flava!

Friday night’s Weekend-Warm Up features an All Star Alumni line up; Laura Lexx, host of the Comedy Bureau; the brilliant Kyrah Gray; Attila the Stockbroker, one of the UK’s most prolific punk poets and Adam Dorr, West End New Act of the Year 2025 and a rising star, all alumni, who started right here on this campus. All under the tutelage of Dr Olly Double, who presides as host for the evening. The room will be proof – if you needed it – that Kent has always nurtured people worth watching.

On Sunday join us for Jazz Brunch Earl Okin, International jazz and Bossa Nova artist, songwriter, and one of Kent’s very own First 500 students, alongside current student Tayo Fanifosi join the line-up for a jazz brunch that feels like the perfect ending to a perfect weekend.
