- Ahmed Farhod
Ahmed Farhod is a Lecturer in Accounting at Kent Business School. He holds an MSc. in Accounting and is currently completing his PhD in Accounting and Finance.
Ahmed brings extensive teaching experience in accounting and finance, with over twelve years of higher-education teaching across the UK and internationally.
Alongside teaching and research, Ahmed has contributed to academic service and leadership activities, including participating in quality assurance and accreditation processes and supporting academic conference organisation.
Ahmed’s research focuses on the role of accounting information and corporate disclosure in capital markets, with particular emphasis on risk, investor behaviour and international institutional contexts. His broader research agenda includes sustainability and ESG reporting, climate-related disclosures and the textual analysis of corporate and audit narratives.
Ahmed teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in accounting and finance. His teaching experience spans the areas of financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, public sector accounting and corporate finance.
Ahmed undertook funded international research visits as a visiting scholar at Columbia University, USA and Lodz University of Technology, Poland. He also has experience working on projects funded by professional accounting bodies such as the ACCA.
