- Dr Mariam Mohsin
Mariam obtained her PhD in Management (with a specialization in Organizational Behavior) from Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Lahore Pakistan. Her doctoral research studies the structures and systems of organizations that enabled or hindered diversity and inclusion. She has published in peer-reviewed journals such as Gender, Work and Organization and Third World Quarterly.
She has a teaching experience of over 11 years and has taught across several universities in Pakistan including Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), and Quaid-i-Azam University.
Mariam studies the interplay of power and hegemony within organizational systems. In her doctoral research, she studied the careers of women with professional degrees who had opted out of the workforce. Her earlier work explores the role of organizations in constructing gendered structures and sociologies around the concept of work.
She is particularly interested in studying how changes within the organizational realm reflect on individual and social lives. She is also interested in investigating the changes within organizations as a consequence of digitalization.
Over the years, Mariam has taught a wide array of courses including Management Principles, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Gender and Diversity, and Research Methods.
