Dr Dave Seaman

About

Dr Dave Seaman is an Innovation Fellow on the E3 Sharing Space for Nature initiative. He obtained his PhD in 2021 from the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology, studying the effects of habitat modification on orangutan population viability and connectivity. Before studying for his PhD, Dave worked in Zoos, predominantly with great apes.

Research interests

Dave’s research now focuses on spatial planning for conservation, with a particularly interest in Systematic Conservation planning and landscape connectivity.

Supervision

Dave is interested in supervising students for projects related to Landscape Connectivity, Spatial Conservation Planning and the role of Zoos in Conservation
