- Dr Rina Kreitman
Dr Rina Kreitman received her MA and PhD in Linguistics from Cornell University, New York in 2008. Her dissertation and subsequent research focused on phonetics and phonology and the interface between the two. She has worked at Emory University in Atlanta, Columbia University in New York, and University College London. She has also worked as a researcher in second language acquisition and assessment at the University of Maryland, College Park.
In addition to phonetics and phonology, Rina has engaged in research in second language acquisition and language pedagogy, specifically of Less Commonly Taught Languages.
Rina's main research interests are in phonetics, phonology, phonetics-phonology interface, second language acquisition and language pedagogy.
Rina has been teaching a range of subjects in the School of Culture and Languages, but mostly focuses on phonetics and phonology.
