What is Clearing?

Clearing opens on 2 July and it's a great opportunity for international students to secure a place at Kent for September 2026.

What courses can I apply for?

You’ll find our course vacancies on our website, and you can apply online.

When can I apply?

As an international student, you'll need to apply by 24 August 2026 to start at Kent this September. If we make you an offer we'll just need you to confirm your results with us as soon as you have them.

Can international students apply through Clearing?

Yes! International students can apply to study in the UK through Clearing.

How do I know if I'm eligible?

As an International student, you will be eligible to apply through Clearing if:

  • You are applying for an undergraduate course
  • You applied through UCAS but didn’t receive any offers by 30 June
  • You’ve received unexpected exam results and need to look for alternative courses
  • You’ve had a change of heart since you applied to UCAS and want to explore other options
  • You didn’t meet the conditions of your firm or insurance choice
  • You haven’t applied through UCAS before.

Kent International Scholarship

International applicants who receive and accept an offer for a Kent undergraduate programme starting in September 2026 or January 2027, could receive the Kent International Scholarship (UG) of £5,000 (subject to the eligibility criteria).

The scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee waiver.

  • £3,000 will be applied as a tuition fee waiver in the first stage of your degree
  • £2,000 will be applied as a tuition fee waiver when you progress to the second stage of your degree.   
  • If you are studying with us for just one year, you will receive the £3,000 tuition fee waiver only
