Celebrating the Class of 2022

On Wednesday 13 July, the Class of 2022 graduated in Canterbury Cathedral and celebrated with a reception in Westgate Hall. We were able to catch up with them informally and raise a toast to their achievements.

Over the past few years, such events have been challenging for all of us, and we want to thank all our staff and students who have adjusted to these challenges.

Speaking at the event, Interim Head of School Dr Chris Deter announced the undergraduate prizes this year as follows.

Undergraduate Prizes

  • BA Dissertation Prize – Carlotta Bardini
  • BSc Dissertation Prize – Ciara Donnelly
  • Darwin Prize for highest overall degree mark in BSc Anthropology was awarded to Jaedyn Herdman-Grant
  • The Gerald Durrell Prize awarded to the best student gaining a First on the BSc Wildlife Conservation and BA Environmental Studies went to Eske Eilts
  • The Paul Stirling Prize awarded to the best student graining a First on the BA Social Anthropology and cognate programmes within the School went to Josceline Bell.
