This year’s speaker is Prof. Johannes Krause (Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology) who is a leader in the palaeogenomics revolution and played a key role in the sequencing of the Neanderthal genome.

His lecture will present his recent work unravelling the genetic history of The Black Death and bubonic plague from 5000 years ago to present.
