Applications
International students
The International Office works with officially appointed overseas local representatives in some countries. If you would like to contact one of our representatives in your country for advice on how to apply to Kent or require further information, please contact the International Office. If there is no representative for your country, please apply in the normal way. Applications should be made as early as possible to allow for visa processing times.
There is no fixed closing date for applications, but we recommend you make your formal application as early as possible and at least three months before your intended start date. To qualify for an offer of on-campus accommodation, you must apply for this online by the end of July. Most coursework degrees begin in September each year, and research degree registration can start at the beginning of any month.
Research students
We recommend that you get in touch with your possible school or supervisor to discuss your proposed programme before you apply. The University has to make sure that it can supply a suitable programme of training and research, give you adequate supervision and provide the facilities you need, and that you are suitably qualified and are reasonably sure of financial support.
Apply online
Choose your degree and subject from the dropdown lists, and fill in your name, date of birth and email details. We then send you an email to complete your application. You need to re-enter your date of birth to confirm your identity.
