Welcome
The Centre for BioMedical Informatics was established in Jan 2006. It aims to foster collaborative research and postgraduate teaching in the broad area of Biomedical Informatics. It builds on a thriving culture of collaboration between several Departments in the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medical Studies. The Centre is led by staff from the Department of Biosciences and the Computing Laboratory, with collaborations covering the Kent Institute of Medicine and Health Sciences, the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science, the School of Physical Sciences and the Department of Electronics. Major areas of research are shown on the collaborations page.
Postgraduate Degrees - There is one CBMI MSc course, the MSc in BioMedical Imaging (led by KIMHS).
Meetings and Seminar Series – The Centre holds seminars given by members of the Centre and external guests.

The annual CBMI symposium was held on Thursday 1st May 2008, on the subject of Advanced Imaging Technologies.
