For 2018/19 entry, the Tizard Centre are offering the following under-graduate programmes. We consider each application on its merits, and those lacking formal qualifications but with extensive experience in education, adult services or families are encouraged to apply. Diploma in Postive Behaviour Support

2018 will be the final cohort of this one year, workshop-taught stage 5 employment-based programme. It teaches students how to conduct a person-centred functional assessment as well as design co-produced interventions. We are currently recruiting. Please email Trish Barton at P.M.Barton@kent.ac.uk

New! BSc in Positive Behaviour Support

2018 sees the introduction of this exciting new blended learning programme; it can be taken full or part time, and has theoretical options as well as work-based pathways. Blended learning combines online teaching, discussions, case study work and workshops. Graduates will be skilled at understanding and responding to challenging behaviour using evidence-based practice.

New! Diploma in Higher Education of Positive Behaviour Support

This stage 1 and 2 replacement for our Foundation Degree can be taken by blended learning full-time over two years or part time over four. This can be taken as a standalone programme or as part of our BSc in PBS. It teaches students how to conduct a person-centred functional assessment as well as design co-produced interventions.

This stage 1 programme introduces students and practitioners to issues around challenging behaviour and can be taken full time over one year or part time over two, or as part of our BSc in PBS.

This stage 3 under-graduate programme is a standalone course that can be taken part-time over one year or full-time over two, and is also the final stage of our BSc in PBS. It provides opportunities to complete research as well as learn clinical skills around functional analysis.

2018 sees the introduction of an exciting development of our successful Autism Studies BSc. This new blended learning programme can be taken full or part time, and has theoretical options as well as work-based pathways. Blended learning combines online teaching, discussions, case study work and workshops. The course outlines best practice in working with autistic children or adults as well as supporting families and staff.
