I studied for my PhD in Cultural Heritage Studies at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London and for my BA from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Grenoble). My research focuses on International Heritage and Cultural Diplomacy; Heritage and Development and Museums and Social Justice. I have received a number of scholarships and awards for my research, including a Getty Conservation Guest Scholarship (2006-2007); the 2008 Cultural Policy Research Award; I was invited fellow at Stanford University (2010-2011), an International Senior Fellow at Durham University (2012), a Fellow at the National Gallery of Denmark (2014) and a Fellow at Manchester Museum (2014). My research is regularly used by international organisations. I am currently working with UNESCO on finalising a policy for the integration of sustainable development into the processes of the World Heritage Convention (2013-2015).
