Research interests

Isabella’s research focuses on the social, psychological, and contextual factors underlying female-perpetrated violence and knife crime. Her work examines how gender, justice perceptions, and relational dynamics shape both offending and public responses to violence. Her studies explore topics such as bystander intervention, perceptions of knife-crime prevalence (as well as factors that influence these perceptions), and Reddit discourse surrounding female offenders. More broadly, her research aims to inform prevention, policy, and public understanding of female-perpetrated violence.
