Scholarships and funding

At Kent, we believe that talented students from a variety of backgrounds should have the opportunity to study here. That's why we have established one of the most generous financial support schemes in the UK.

In addition to the University's generous income related financial support package, a pool of scholarships is allocated to students attending partner schools and colleges, including members of UKAT and the Kent and Medway Progression Federation, and students on the University of Kent’s Access to HE Programme or University Entrance Diploma.

The Partner Scholarship

The Partner Scholarship extends our support for students from local schools and colleges by rewarding those who will make the most positive contribution to the University community.

Successful applicants from selected partner institutions receive £1,000 for each year of study.

Student Ambassador Stipend

Student Ambassador Stipends have been created for students who have an interest in becoming involved in outreach work during their undergraduate programme.

Successful applicants receive an award of £1,000pa alongside an exclusive programme of training and work experiences specifically designed to enhance their employability skills.

Graduate Secondary Teaching Scheme

This scheme gives exceptional Kent graduates the opportunity to continue their academic studies, while working towards a teaching qualification at one of Kent's sponsor schools.

Successful candidates are funded to train on a part-time basis to become a fully qualified teacher, while studying for a postgraduate qualification over a 3-5 year period.
