The University has been ranked 32nd out of 149 UK Higher Education Institutions for its success rate in national research funding.
In a Times Higher Education analysis of data provided by six UK research councils Kent is shown to have achieved a success rate of 25.4%, with 17 of its 67 applications for funding having been successful.
Other universities with a similar success rate include Aberdeen, Manchester, Cambridge, Surrey, Cardiff and Exeter.
Kent’s total value of grants awarded by these six councils is £9,652,181. Institutions with a similar figure include Strathclyde, Cranfield, Queen’s Belfast and Leicester.
