We are delighted with the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE WUR) 2026,which place Kent in the global top 100 for Law and Psychology.

Law has risen to 89th in the world, and Psychology has ranked 92nd globally, reaffirming its position among the world’s leading departments.

Professor Tim Hopthrow, Head of the School of Psychology, highlighted the collective nature of this success:

‘This result is testament to our vibrant school community where there is a culture of mutual respect and collaboration between academic staff and students—both are integral to our research and scholarship. We are strengthened by our international partnerships with industry, charities, and other universities and academics.’

Law’s rise into the top 100 marks a significant milestone for Kent Law School. Reflecting on the achievement, Professor Lisa Dickson, Head of Kent Law School, said:

‘We are delighted to see Kent Law School rise to 89th in the world for Law, and 15th in the UK in the Times Higher Education ranking. This reflects the strength of the whole Kent Law School community of students, colleagues, partners and alumni. We are proud of our distinctive legal education that is critical and research informed, and that helps students build the confidence, skills, and professional judgement they need for legal and wider graduate careers.’

These results recognise the commitment, expertise, and collaboration of staff and students across both Schools, as well as the impact of our international partnerships and research-informed teaching. We extend our congratulations and thanks to all colleagues whose work has contributed to this success.
