About

Qualifications: LLB (Hons), PgDip Bar Professional Studies (BPTC), LLM (corporate and insolvency law).
Guevara is a graduate of Kent Law School (KLS). He was an active student member of the Law School and served as President of the Kent Student Law Society (KSLS), a student mentor and a student representative on the teaching and learning committee. On graduation, Guevara was awarded the Antony London prize for outstanding contribution to the Law School. Over the years he continued to contribute to KLS by judging moots and other advocacy competitions as well as assisting the school’s careers service with mentoring including giving an annual lecture to students on accessing a scholarship to study for the Bar.   
He brings to teaching a wealth of practical legal experience having worked extensively with individuals and corporates accused in criminal matters involving fraud, burglary, theft, extradition, Bribery and Corruption and the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. In 2018, he was a member of a legal team acting for a FTSE 100 company prosecuted by the SFO for fraud and false accounting offences. Generally, he has experience across the breadth of criminal practice. Guevara has a wealth of knowledge and experience in private law specifically divorce and inheritance matters in which he is regularly instructed. He also has a keen interest in data, privacy and cybersecurity law with a special interest in how the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) affects data flows between Europe and the UK post-Brexit.
Guevara was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2017 and is a practising Barrister and Solicitor of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court a Common Law jurisdiction similar to England and Wales.
Guevara enjoys cycling, weightlifting and making cakes.
