- Fraser Thompson
Fraser has taught at the university since 2010 on a range of foundation and pre-master’s courses, including the Pre-sessional course since 2014. Fraser has also been involved in course and material design.
Previously Fraser has taught English communication skills to senior managers from multinational companies including 3M, ABB, Air France, Airbus, Alcatel, Bayer, BMW, Danone, General Electric, IBM, L’Oréal, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi Electric, Nestlé, Pfizer, Siemens, and VW Audi. He has also worked with senior civil servants, including ministers, diplomats and on one occasion a Prime Minister, from governments and NGOs, such as the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the UN, the French Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs and the Polish Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Finance.
Fraser has a PGCHE from the University of Kent and has an interest in the development of both effective pedagogy and critical thinking.
The teaching and understanding of critical thinking and issues affecting attendance and engagement in Foundation students, specifically executive dysfunction or procrastination.
