A Senior Leader is someone who has senior management responsibility, and this can include formal governance/director responsibilities. They are responsible for direction and vision, providing a clear sense of purpose and driving strategic intent.
The Senior Leader apprenticeship is an innovative programme that helps managers take their next step into senior leadership roles. During the apprenticeship, the learner develops knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to become transformational leaders and develop an innovative mindset.
Qualification
This apprenticeship follows the Level 7 Senior Leader Apprenticeship Standard and offers two distinct qualification pathways:
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Senior Leadership: On successful completion of the apprenticeship, learners will gain a PGDip in Senior Leadership.
- MSc (Top Up) : Kent Business School offers the Senior Leader Apprenticeship with optional MSc top-ups at an additional cost after completing the apprenticeship:
- MSc in Senior Leadership in Healthcare
- MSc in Senior Leadership in Management
- MBA Qualification: Alongside the apprenticeship, students can also work towards gaining an MBA qualification. Students must commit to the full MBA on application and complete an additional 30 credits following the successful completion of the Senior Leader Apprenticeship to achieve the MBA.
