The Level 7 Senior Leader apprenticeship is an innovative programme that helps managers advance into senior leadership roles, developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to become transformational leaders with an innovative mindset.
Much of the programme is centred around work-based learning and projects, which means apprentices will be adding value to their organisation as they work through the programme.
Kent Business School offers the Senior Leader Apprenticeship with optional MSc top-ups at an additional cost after completing the apprenticeship:
This apprenticeship follows the Level 7 Senior Leader Degree Apprenticeship standard. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, learners will gain a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Senior Leadership.
The maximum funding for this apprenticeship is £14,000, which can be covered by the Apprenticeship Levy or by government co-investment.
Please note that any top-ups to an MSc come at an additional cost which is not funded by the apprenticeship levy.
An MBA top-up apprenticeship programme is also available. Find out more from the link below.
Apprentices enrolling on this programme are expected to have a good honours degree from the UK or an equivalent internationally recognised qualification. In addition, applicants are required to have a minimum of three years of full-time relevant managerial work experience. Applicants who do not hold an honours degree can still be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Apprentices also need to hold a GCSE in English and Maths at grade 4 (C grade) or work towards this alongside the apprenticeship.
Apprentices need to have lived in the UK three years prior to starting the programme, have the right to work in the UK and spend at least 50% of their time on programme in England.
This programme starts in September each year. Please contact us for application cut-off dates.
The apprenticeship lasts 15 - 18 months, excluding the end-point assessment. All apprentices must have a contract of employment that covers the full duration of the programme.
The programme includes combined learning. Apprentices complete 8 modules with face-to-face teaching blocks (around 3 days per module) at our London location, complemented by online resources.
Face-to-face teaching is supported by meetings with an Apprenticeship Advisor every 10-12 weeks. The Marble Arch location offers good transport links, spacious teaching and learning spaces.
