FinTech and AI Panel

In light of the new disruptive technologies in the financial industry, Kent Business School and FinAct are hosting a live panel to discuss the recent progress in financial technologies with world-leading experts in the area.

Kent Business School and FinAct are co-hosting this free online event which will take place on Sunday 2 May 2021 at 13.00-14.30 (BST) and will be hosted on Zoom

Discussions will be taking place which will help practitioners, academics and students to better know about many areas in the field of FinTech, including SupTech, RegTech, AI in finance, blockchain, financial inclusion and many other topics.

The live panel will include the following professionals who are experts in their fields:

Manuel Morales - Manuel is a professor in the department of mathematics and statistics at the University of Montreal working in the field of applied Artificial Intelligence in banking with experience in creating business value through ML and AI.

Kimmo Soramäki - Kimmo is the Founder and CEO of Financial Network Analytics (FNA) and the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Network Theory in Finance.

Tim Latif - Tim is a venture capitalist and an entrepreneur in the area of FinTech and InsurTech. He is the founder of Max Holding, a VC firm having a portfolio of over 20 companies and startups with over 1.000 employees, among them Azki and Bimito.

Ramin Okhrati - Dr Ramin Okhrati is an assistant professor in digital finance and a full-time faculty member of the Institute of Finance and Technology (IFT) at University College London (UCL), London, UK, where he is also the programme director of MSc in banking and digital finance, run by a team of academia and industry.
