General interest courses

There is ample opportunity for informal study at the University of Kent. Short courses, study days and lectures are open to all - staff, students and members of the public.

Learn a new language

The Language Centre offers Kent students the opportunity to study a variety of language modules as part of your existing degree programme or as an additional extracurricular module.

Learn a new language or brush up on your existing language skills. Choose from Arabic, Catalan, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian and Spanish - all offered at different levels to suit you.

Summer Schools

We offer a variety of summer schools at our locations across Kent and Europe covering a wide range of subjects.

You can study for interest, credit, professional training or as preparation for further learning. The summer schools are open to all unless otherwise specified.

The University also provides a wide range of popular Open Lectures. Our programme includes a variety of interesting speakers covering diverse subject matters.

Open Lectures are free to all and no booking is required.

Forensic Psychology

Forensic psychology is the study of the psychology of crime and behaviour. Over ten weeks join some of the UK's leading experts in forensic psychology and go beyond what you see on TV.

Forensic Psychology research at Kent and all forensic-related teaching operates through our newly established Centre of Research and Education in Forensic Psychology or CORE-FP as it is more informally known.
