The Centre for Journalism is delighted to announce the Daily Mail Scholarship, which will fund a gifted Multimedia Journalism MA student from 2011. The scholarship is worth £10,000 and full details are available here.
We understand that a Master's degree represents a significant financial undertaking. That's why the Centre for Journalism is offering four scholarships in 2010-11 for Home/EU students undertaking the MA Multimedia Journalism programme. Two scholarships will cover 50% of tuition fees at the Home/EU rate for 1 year.
To be eligible for the scholarships, candidates must make a formal application for postgraduate study [20] at the University of Kent and must hold an offer for the MA Multimedia Journalism programme. Candidates must submit a letter of application, to include an explanation of why they want to be a journalist.
This is to be sent with a degree certificate by post to: Professor Tim Luckhurst University of Kent Centre for Journalism Gillingham Building Chatham Maritime Kent ME4 4AG
Deadline for receipt of applications is 13 August 2010
We also encourage students to apply to the NCTJ's Journalism Diversity Fund, which provides bursaries to students from diverse backgrounds who need help with their funding.
