Acing Applications

Join this session to learn more about drafting effective job applications that showcase your understanding of the employer, the role and your suitability for the job.

Completing job applications can be a time-consuming process, but sending the same generic answers to every employer is unlikely to be successful. To maximise your chances of getting through to the next stage, you need to craft tailored applications that highlight your understanding of what the employer is looking for, what the role entails and how you meet the job requirements. This session will guide you through some of the things to think about when completing your next job application.

In this session, you will:

- Share ideas about what the application process typically involves.

- Consider how to prepare for your own applications and what research to do.

- Recognise the uses and limitations of AI in the job application process.

- Identify ways to use job descriptions and person specifications to make tailored applications.
