Join us for Autism Orientation day visits to the Canterbury campus - a chance for students to come and see the environment before the start of term and get to know one another and the Student Support team, learn about services, and ask questions about support at Kent.
We are running three visit day options on Tuesday 9th September, Thursday 11th September and Tuesday 16th September 2025. For an idea of the day's content, check out the draft itinerary below. There are a maximum of 20 places per day.
If you have any queries about the day, please email AutismSupport@kent.ac.uk
If you are planning to study a course based at the Medway campus and would like to arrange a visit, please email AutismSupport@kent.ac.uk to set this up.
I remember being taken aback by the respectful and knowledgeable approach the uni seems to take towards neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ people, to a degree I've never encountered before outside of online spaces.
See below an outline of the talks and activities planned for autism orientation days - a detailed programme with arrival instructions will be circulated to attendees nearer the time. For any queries, please email autismsupport@kent.ac.uk.
Meet at Dolce Vita Café (detailed directions will be provided) for refreshments and introductions.
A barbecue lunch will be provided, please let us know your dietary requirements when registering to attend.
These may include a visit to the Sports Centre or an activity led by our Board Game Club
We will continue to be available beyond orientation days and welcome weeks at Kent. Have a look at our Autism Support page for more information on what's on throughout the year, such as one to one support and autism peer support or activity groups.
The main Student Support and Wellbeing page shows all the other services offered, such as for specific learning difficulties, mental health, physical disabilities and chronic conditions, and also an events calendar for details on how to join groups and workshops.
