Functionality
Maple (made by Mapleosoft) is an extremely powerful and useful math software with a variety of capabilities including solving equations, creating intricate plots, and providing answers to difficult mathematical concepts quickly. Maple makes it extremely easy to analyze, explore, visualize, and solve math, science, and engineering problems. Maple provides a way of checking the answers to practice questions and gives you the ability to compare your answers to Maple's. It provides a host of extra practice problems for topics such as differentiation and integration, polynomials, matrix multiplications and more. It is a useful tool for effective revision and support outside of your lectures.
Tips for using this tool at Kent
- If not installed on your machine, Maple is available to Kent staff using your Kent credentials if you have been registered as a user
- Students can request access from the IT helpdesk for their own personal devices
