About

Aimilia is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate on an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)-funded project run by Professors David Williams and Eilis Kennedy and Dr Lauren Spinner. The project is a collaboration between the University of Kent and the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. It aims to explore the link between autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and gender incongruence in children and young people. 

Aimilia received her PhD in Psychology from the University of Kent in 2022. 

Research interests

Aimilia works primarily in the area of developmental psychology. Her research interests focus on gender identity and ASD, and the focus of her PhD research was on the link between ASD and gender dysphoria/incongruence in adults.
