The Kent and Medway Business Summit returns on Friday 13 January 2023, bringing together over 300 businesses, key policymakers and leading academics.

Hosted at the award-winning Sibson building on our Canterbury campus, the sixth annual Summit features a day of speeches, workshops and panel sessions. Speakers include Roger Gough, Leader of Kent County Council, Richard Hicks, Director of Place and Deputy Chief of Medway Council, and panellists such as Emily Dawson, Head of Benefits from Lower Thames Crossing, Susan Elliot from British Business Bank, Rebecca Smith, Deputy CEO of Social Enterprise Kent, and Harry Dance, Digital Marketing Director from KAYO Digital.

Alongside keynote speeches, the summit will include a Q&A and debate on topics including productivity, sustainability, place-making and skills. This year, delegates will also have the opportunity to get exclusive insights from a range of business leaders at the Quiz The Expert’s zone over lunch. Experts will include representatives from from Kent County Council’s Department for Sustainability, Innovate UK EDGE, Growing Kent and Medway, and the University’s Apprenticeships programme.
