Members of the public and students are invited to attend a wide-range of summer schools offered by the University for those looking to learn new skills, gain professional training or simply learn more about subjects they are interested in.

The courses will take place on various dates between June and July, lasting between one and four weeks. A wide range of subjects are on offer, from International Relations and Child Protection, to Molecular Biology, Global Business and even an Introduction to Wine Science course.

The majority of the courses are offered on the University’s Canterbury campus but there are also options to study at our Brussels and Paris centres as well. Prices start from £970 and all pricing options include accommodation and a variety of organised activities.

The courses can be undertaken purely for personal interest but also provide the ability to gain academic credit, professional training or as preparation for further additional learning.

The University is also hosting a three-day Space School for 15-18 year-olds run by the School of Physical Sciences over the summer. The event will give participants the chance to take part in activities including rocket design, building and launch, as well as spending time working on space science and astronomy projects with academics and postgraduate students and using University telescopes, including the state of the art Beacon Observatory. The event will run from midday Friday 2 August to 17.00 on Sunday 4 August and costs £169.

Further details of all the courses including the dates on which they are taking place, specific costs and a breakdown of what’s covered are available from the Summer Schools website.
