Psychology, Law, and Business Administration are among the Kent subjects ranked in the latest ShanghaiRanking Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS), which was released on 11 November.
This GRAS contains rankings of universities in 55 subjects across Natural Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Social Sciences. In total, more than 5,000 universities were ranked.
Kent’s subject listing is:
• Business Administration, ranked 76-100
• Ecology, ranked 201-300
• Economics, ranked 401-500
• Electrical & Electronic Engineering, ranked 301-400
• Law, ranked 151-200
• Management, ranked 101-150
• Political Sciences, ranked 151-200
• Psychology, ranked 76-100
• Sociology, ranked 101-150
• Telecommunication Engineering, ranked 76-100
The GRAS rankings use a range of objective academic indicators and third-party data to measure the performance of world universities in respective subjects, including research output, research influence, international collaboration, research quality, and international academic awards.
In ShanghaiRanking’s latest (2024) overall Academic Ranking of World Universities, Kent retained its world rank from last year (401-500) and has seen an improvement in the national rank to 32-35 since 2023.
