About

Freddie joined Kent in 2018 as a short course tutor and currently works as an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutor and Academic Advisor. He has had a long-standing relationship with the University, going back to his undergraduate days. Since then, he has been an active alumnus, recognised by the award of Mentor of the Year in 2017. 

He has devoted his career to education. In addition to his work at Kent, he has taught on a range of Pre-sessional courses for Kingston University. Prior to this, he taught in secondary schools before moving into ESL where he has worked as a Director of Studies. He has taught and managed short courses in Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, and Switzerland. Additionally, he has worked as an examiner and successfully ran his own online education business with a global reach.

Freddie holds a BA in Philosophy, a PGCE and an MA in TESOL with Distinction. His dissertation, mixed-methods research on in-service teacher motivation, received a British Council Commendation Award.
