Dr Parminder Sandhu is a lecturer in Applied Chemical Sciences. Before joining Kent, he worked at International Study Centre, Liverpool John Moores University, Aston University, Birmingham and Coventry University, U.K. He finished his doctoral studies in synthetic organic chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India and is a fellow of Higher Education U.K.
Dr Sandhu has a wide range of experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate chemistry courses via activity-led learning approaches. Through these integrated approaches to teaching, the motivation for learning is provided by stimulating activities that engage students and create challenges, relevance and professional awareness among them.Dr Sandhu has previously been involved in different research projects, presenting his work at a variety of national and international conferences, and has various teaching experience, ranging from supervising research projects to lecturing.
